Hi Gram!
Another beautiful day in Braşov. Well, it was overcast and cold, but I had a beautiful memorable time. I woke up early and was ready to go. I knocked out my morning routine, got dressed and headed to the gym by 7:30! Unfortunately, it was Saturday so they weren’t open until 9. Undeterred, I got in some steps then headed back to the apartment. Bob and Amber were already up and stretching, so I got out my yoga mat and did some stretching too.
Once 9 rolled around, I headed back to the gym with Bob and got in a really good workout. I started with just having a routine that I could repeat and get used to the gym. Now that it’s been a couple of weeks, I decided to start maxing out my weight, even if it meant fewer reps – keeping clean form of course. I was pleased to increase quite a few of my top weights, although I was surprised that I had fewer reps on other exercises that relied on body weight. Anyway, it was a good gym session. We both finished up around the same time, so we walked home together.
The three of us had breakfast, then worked on individual projects for an hour. With rain forecast for the afternoon, we opted to walk to the mall early to get in some steps before the rain. This was the furthest I’ve walked so far here, a great walk. I listened to a couple of podcasts, then we all met at the mall. The purpose of our journey was so I could get some collagen from GNC. Ever since I started taking it a few years ago, my neck has been hurting less. I’m almost out, so I wanted to make sure I had enough before leaving Braşov.

After walking around the mall a little, we headed back towards the train station to catch a bus. It was a nice stroll through a pedestrian area, then through a park that connected to the train station. We walked down under the tracks and came out at the front of the station, where we caught the A1 bus. We didn’t have to wait long for it to leave, then next thing we knew we were back by the apartment. It felt good to be home, especially when the rain started shortly after we were safe and dry. I read my book for a bit, then we all reconvened for dinner. Another wonderful, simple recipe that Bob and Amber whipped up. Satisfied, I took a shower and headed to bed.
