The Stories of This Vagabond

Donuts!

Hi Gram,
I’m woke up this morning just in time to join the FinTalks call. I told everyone about the fun I’m having in Bali, and enjoyed the conversation about spending on events. After the call, Dash and I headed to breakfast at a new place. The food was, of course, phenomenal. We headed back and packed our bags while David took a nap.

We left the house at 11:30. Ashley took a car with their luggage, David and I rode scooters, and I proudly carried my luggage with me on the scooter. After dropping our bags at the front desk, they gave us frozen towels to cool off from the hot sun, then juice to soothe our parched throats. We checked out the pool, then headed next door to the yoga barn to meet up with Samantha. We all chatted for a bit until Samantha headed off to class. While she was getting healthier, the rest of us tried the donut shop across from the hotel, and the donuts were delicious! Besides the amazing flavor, the presentation was out of this world.

We helped Amy with a couple of setup tasks, then I headed to my room to check in and get a shower. Fresh and clean, I headed down to check into the event, get my t-shirt and swag, and socialize. We started with an ice breaker game, followed by a traditional blessing before finding our seats and enjoying a delicious dinner with ceremonial dancers.

The dancers pulled a few audience members on stage where everyone had a good time. We headed back to the conference room for some more introductions and ice breaker games that lasted into the evening. My team got the highest score, probably taking the competition more seriously than needed. The games wrapped up, then I headed to my room to get some much needed sleep.
