The Stories of This Vagabond

Gotta See the Dentist

Hi Gram!
Today wasn’t too exciting, but it was a good day. I went to the gym and did some core exercises and the stair master. I’m still sore in my shoulders and legs, plus my neck has been hurting, so I figured I might as well make my abs sore too, right? I got home and Amber was out on a run, so I made breakfast quick. I knew I had a dentist appointment at noon so I wanted to eat as early as I could so I would have a chance to brush a couple times and have a clean mouth for the dentist. I did a couple things on my computer, then headed to the dentist, just down the street.

First of all, I think all dentists outside of the US are all beautiful, friendly women. I’ve been to dentists on 3 continents now and they’ve all been professional, polite, skilled beautiful women. From my sampling size, I can only draw that conclusion. She was fast, too. She sat me in the chair, she and her assistant worked on me like a NASCAR champion, and had me out the door in 20 minutes. My head was spinning, they were so fast and efficient.

After that, my roommates and I headed to the grocery store. We were just as efficient there, splitting up to grab different items and regrouping to head to the register. The weather was beautiful yet again for the walk in both directions. We’re really lucky to get this great sunshine and cool temps. We put away the groceries, then each went and did our own thing for the afternoon. In the evening, Amber made a delicious sausage, polenta, cauliflower and egg dish inspired by a Romanian recipe. I’m going to miss these two next month when I have to start finding my own meals. They’re great cooks. I cleaned up the dishes and went for a walk to burn off some dinner, then headed home and did a little reading before bed.
